General Surf Situation
Strangely predictable with easterly winds set for the next few days. The swell is hardly pushing through, small on the north flat on the south.

Heavy showers on Friday.

This Evening and Tonight:
Most parts will have a dry and rather cloudy evening although a few showers may also crop up. A good deal of cloud will persist overnight with still the risk of a few showers.

Friday:
Rather cloudy but a few sunny spells should break through. Showers will develop later in the morning, which could be heavy and thundery during the afternoon.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Cloudy on Saturday with showery rain. Becoming brighter on Sunday and Monday but feeling cool.

Crantock Beach is the next beach south west from Fistral and is a wide expanse on soft sand with a tidal estuary - the River Gannel. As a result, there are lots of very strong currents and rips for the inexperienced. This is a longboarders spot when working, but can be a long walk.
