General situation for South Ireland
Updated Friday 16th May 2008
Very little change from wednesday. Very small to flat. Mostly offshore winds. You will need the very best spots and tide times to find a rideable wave. The swells could improve a bit at the weekend but surfing commuters could consider the east coast or Torquay area which could offer a slightly bigger but weaker wave. - SoulSurfer

NOTE: The above data is for deep water ocean swells, and does not mean that waves at the beach will be that size or direction. It does however provide a valuable indication of the swell size, direction and winds for the next 72 hours. The most reliable indication of actual conditions is an Eyeball Surf Report, as on most of our surf report pages.

Tramore has a promenade, car park and lifeguard station. Tramore beach is 5km long with high sand dunes but it is also very stony particularly near the promenade so for a more sandy feel it is best to walk towards the other end of the beach.
