About this deal
While I didn’t install any games or test 3D graphics performance with Ubuntu, I was able to connect to the internet and stream some video from YouTube without any trouble. Powered by an Intel Tiger Lake processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, the ONEXPLAYER has the horsepower to handle many modern PC games. By cramming the guts of a decent laptop into a device small enough to hold in your hands, One Netbook managed to make a gaming device that you can carry with you to play just about anywhere. God’s Trigger Here is my review of the Onexplayer 1S, from someone who thought about getting this system for months and finally biting the bullet.
Overall the scores are very good. We can’t do a direct comparison with other models as we are using different settings. But it is on par with the ONEXPLAYER 1S in comparison. This is somewhat worrisome to me, but I am unable to find any clear statement for those two topics. There is not a massive difference between the three devices here. They will all perform your day to day tasks just fine. 3DMarkThe ONEXPLAYER Handheld is a fully thought-out game console and the Gaming Experience is top-notch. Apart from the beautiful display, you have all the tools you need to get your game on!
You’d probably never know that if you just run Windows. Even the BIOS/UEFI firmware settings menu is displayed in landscape mode. But try running Ubuntu or another GNU/Linux distribution and you’ll most likely boot into portrait mode by default. More on that below.
Monster Hunter: World is the fifth entry in the famous Monster Hunter franchise. It is an action RPG with an emphasis on lengthy, intricate boss fights, and a uniquely weighty feel to the combat. It is Capcom’s best selling game of all time as of 2021. The high-resolution, pixel-dense display could also come in handy if you’re streaming games from a more powerful PC device, allowing you to leverage discrete graphics and a fast internet connection to turn a device like the ONEXPLAYER into a sort of terminal for viewing and controlling games. That said, you can certainly get much longer battery life when playing less demanding games. And since the ONEXPLAYER is a full-fledged computer, you can use it for far more than gaming… and it consumes far less power when you’re doing things like web browsing, document editing, or watching videos than it does when you’re playing games.
