You could do this as a group activity, giving each group a different animal to identify, research about and complete or it would make an excellent homework task. This project goes along with Pennsylvania unit of study in which students will be learning about many aspects of the state, including wildlife.

The harbour seal is smaller and is able to dive up to 200 metres underwater without coming up to the surface for 15 minutes! This resource will encourage discussion about different Scottish animals and to research some fascinating facts! Researching is a really important skill for children to develop in primary school as it shows they can source and find out information for themselves, one of the first steps towards more independent learning that they will build on in KS3 and beyond.
