With time, Rummikub was licensed in other countries, and it became Israel’s game that sold the best via export. PLAYER VERSION: The classic family numbers strategy game you love – now with extra tiles for up to 6 players!
The number tiles range in value from one to thirteen in four colors (blue, red, yellow, and black). THE OBJECT OF THE GAME: Be the first player to clear your rack of tiles by placing them onto the table in number sets and runs, then shout ‘Rummikub’ to win! If you have two normal Rummikub games and want to play with 6 people you will want to remove some of the tiles as it will be far too many tiles otherwise.

How scoring works in Rummikub is the winner at the end of each round gets a plus amount added to their score which is a combination of the losers’ points that were left on their rack when the winner goes out. We are a group of passionate individuals who share our love of board games through written and video reviews, articles, and humor, so that others can join us in our journey.
Each player’s initial move has to be at least 30 points (based on the value of the tiles) or they cannot play and need to draw a random tile from the sack. When you go to pick your 14 tiles, you simply pick the ones that you already know what they are so you begin with the jokers as well as matching tiles.
Rummikub Six Player Edition - The Classic Rummy Tile Game
Because the rules really do not change when you play with 5-8 players by adding a second game to the mix, many people are able to enjoy the game and have all of their family play at one time! The point value of a tile is taken from its face value unless the tile is a joker, in which case it assumes the value of the tile it is replacing. If you keep the total score to win at 300 when playing with 8 people you will likely surpass that in a single round which defeats the purpose.
In the case of a group of 3, the joker can be replaced by the tile of either of the missing colours.
