There Is Room for All of You Here
About this deal
We get in our own way by adhering to toxic beliefs that divide and belittle and diminish, distracting us from the real work of the spiritual path, which is to go deeper, not get smaller.

I had never read her work before, but I was drawn to read this book because the title really spoke to me, and I wasn't disappointed! There is room here, not just for you to make God big, but for you to take up your bigness in the energy that God is all around you, in you, and through you. Separated into three sections: Stumbling, Falling, and Landing, it’s about complicated family relationships, reconciling with your anxious attachment style, finding a healthy love, and building something you hope will last.
Many of us have spent years shrinking ourselves so that God can fit in the room, folding ourselves up so small and tight so that we might glorify God as God should be glorified; thinking of ourselves less and less to the point where we don't even know who we are any more so that God can take up as much space as possible in our minds and hearts. My favorite was probably the Virgo chapter, where it's suddenly all about being a feminist and having mommy issues, like it's somehow a universal experience for all Virgos to not get along with their mothers. In the Christmas story, we are made acutely aware that there was no room for Joseph and Mary to rest when they arrived in Bethlehem, in the more traditional places reserved for hospitality in Jewish culture.

Angemeer is the poet behind my absolute favorite poem, one I came across on the Internet about a year ago, and so I bought this book when I saw it was included on page 109.They’ve published four best-selling collections of poetry including When He Leaves You, You’ll Come Back to Yourself, Please Love Me at My Worst and Poems for the Signs. Things that I’ve already known about myself are represented beautifully, and and I know for sure that I’m not the only one feeling a certain way about things that occur in my life or will occur in my life at some point.
